DRYADSTUDIOS

Arts and Crafts Furniture, Handmade Since 1985

Green Forest, Arkansas

Announcement    At Dryad Studios, we handcraft the finest Arts & Crafts, Mission, and Mackintosh style furniture available today.

Our shop embodies the spirit of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
WE HOPE THAT YOU WOULD TAKE A FEW MOMENTS AND READ THIS INTRODUCTION TO OUR SHOP. WE WOULD LIKE ALL PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS TO UNDERSTAND THAT PURCHASING FURNITURE FROM US IS PARTICIPATION IN AN ENDEAVOR THAT IS FAR LARGER THAN ANY OF THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED.
OUR WORK IS OUR LIFE, AND OUR LIFE IS AN AFFIRMATION OF THE POSITIVE EFFECTS THAT WE CAN HAVE ON OUR ENVIRONMENT, AND THE PEOPLE THAT WE INTERACT WITH.

We are a family run shop. The five of us work in our 8000 sq. ft. shop, located on our 160 acre "Tree Farm" near Osage, Arkansas. Our timber has been in the American Tree Farm System since 1978. We have a small sawmill and state-of-the-art Dehumidification Kiln to control quality. We manage and raise our timber, do our own logging, saw, kiln dry and produce the parts for the finest Arts and Crafts furniture available.

The precise and carefully considered lumber production itself guarantees a stable reliable performance in the most complex of pieces...but...WE are in control of the quality of the final result, and we guarantee that the quality of our work will exceed your expectations. We have been making reproductions for galleries, antique dealers, and collectors since 1985. Since 1992, we have been selling the finest Reproductions and Original Design furniture directly to the public. The advent of the Internet and Web has completed the transition.

We are located in the Ozark Mountains, on a 160 acre Tree Farm near the heavily forested Headwaters of the Buffalo National River, and the vast timber resources of the Ozark National Forest Our timber has been under our continuous management for 30 years, in the American Tree Farm System.
Our commitment to the environment, to sustainable lumber production, to multi-use forest management and the restoration of suitable wildlife habitat is ONGOING, PERVASIVE, ABSOLUTE, AND THOROUGH.
We maintain a Facebook page that has many pictures and videos of the deer, bear, mountain lion, coyotes and dozens of other forest inhabitants that our management practices have encouraged and enabled to return. It also thoroughly details our commitment to sustainability with an ongoing video diary of our gardening, timber harvesting, and management practices. Facebook is the easiest way to announce a sale or new product. If you “friend” us on Facebook, you will be the first to know of sales or changes in available shop time.

We have been raising, logging, sawing, and kiln drying our own Quartersawn Lumber since 1978. We have been handcrafting the finest Arts & Crafts reproduction and original design furniture since 1985.

Our furniture is handmade from the tree up. Components are carefully selected from our large stock of lumber, and produced using a reasonable balance between power machinery and hand tools. Meticulous care during construction, and careful attention to durability and appearance assure many generations of use.
We have reproduced hundreds of pieces for collectors, antique dealers, and designers. Our finish is guaranteed to be the finest available. We have developed a finishing process that combines visual compatibility with existing antique pieces, and the finest, most durable, modern finishing materials.

Our work has been featured in numerous National and regional publications, from WOOD Magazine, to Architectural Digest. Links to these articles are on the website.
Our furniture was used to re-acquire the Roycroft Orb & Cross Trademark.
We were chosen to design furniture for the Restoration of the Arkansas Capitol in Little Rock. Our work in the Governor's Reception Room, Old Supreme Court Chambers, and Senate Chambers, faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the Capitol construction during the peak of the Arts & Crafts era, 1895-1910.
Another of our podiums was selected for the Award Winning Geddes Hall at Notre Dame. The building won awards for "Green" construction, sustainability and resource management. We fit right in.

WE REALIZE THAT DEALING WITH AN UNKNOWN, DISTANT OR NEW SELLER, ESPECIALLY ON AN ITEM COSTING SEVERAL HUNDRED TO SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS, OFTEN REQUIRES A GREAT LEAP OF FAITH.

YOUR INTEREST AND CONCERNS ARE OURS.
WE PRIDE OURSELVES IN CUSTOMER CARE THAT CANNOT BE MATCHED.
WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR WORK WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS
WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR FINISH WILL SPOIL YOU FOREVER
WE GUARANTEE THE FINEST FIT, FINISH, AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Failing that, we would fully refund the purchase price
on prompt, safe return of the
furniture. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Thanks for your interest in our work.
